ACT unofficial score report

The ACT website does not give students access to a PDF score report. You can only do a print screen, which looks like a screen shot. From the site: “At this time a PDF version of the score report is not available in MyACT. You may print an unofficial copy of your ACT test score by using your browser’s print option.”

Kid’s schools allow the submission of unofficial score reports (official one to follow if student enrolls) but several specifically state that they will not accept screen shots (or by extension, I assume, a pdf of the screen). ACT is basically forcing us to pay for official reports. You can’t even send one to yourself! After their horrible customer service this year, I do not want to pay them another cent. I still haven’t been refunded for a canceled test (after 3 email requests!).

Any work around? Can I send to HS and have them send it or give me a copy?

Before doing that, see if you HS puts standardized test scores on a transcript - ours doesn’t (it also doesn’t meet the “I do not want to pay them another cent” request).

I wouldn’t assume - contact the schools and ask them if what ACT provides as an unofficial test report is acceptable.

Thanks for the suggestions. I told son to email the schools and ask. The two he’s heard back from acknowledged the problem with ACT and said a screenshot would be acceptable (even though their website says it isn’t). We will see what the other says. I’m also going to ask HS if they will send the report with the transcript. Then at least I’d only be giving ACT $13 twice, once for HS and once for final school!
