<p>Could someone either give tips or link me to somewhere that has tips to ace the act writing section? I am in AP english lit and can write pretty good, I just want to know specifically what they're looking for/examples of highly scored essays. I took the writing a few months ago and got an 8, the note said I "addressed counter arguments but did not develop them"</p>
<p>The writing doesn’t matter. It’s not even graded by anyone qualified. I wrote like Steinbeck and only got a 7. I know a guy who had a composite score of a 35, and only got a 6 on it. </p>
<p>Colleges mostly look to see if you have taken it, and that’s all. What I would be more concerned about is your college essay. They wouldn’t have those if they actually cared about your ACT writing.</p>
