Hi everyone,
I took the ACT with writing four times. The first I got a composite of 30 with a writing of 8. The second I got a composite of 32 with a writing of 6. The third I got a 31 with a composite of 8. Lastly, I got a 32 with a composite of six. Will they only look at the six, because it is tied to the 32s? Will this seriously disadvantage me? Thanks,
They don’t consider the writing section of the SAT I believe, so it doesn’t make sense that they would give serious weight to the essay on the ACT. What is more concerning, however, is the fact you took the ACT four times. You have to submit your entire testing history, and that might negatively affect you.
So they look at how many tests you have taken?
It is true, the writing portion of the ACT is trending dramatically downward. I think that either this year or next year, Penn is completely eliminating the writing requirement.
My scores or the weight they place on it?
