Hey guys. I got my ACT writing scores the other day and I got an 8 in Ideas and Analysis, 7 in Development and Support, 8 in Organization, and an 8 in Language Use. However, my total score for writing is a 23 even though my subscores add up to 31. Is that a mistake? If yes, what should I do?

It’s not a mistake. In the writing section, the overall score is not a tally of the subscores.
