ACT Writing Superscore!

As ACT has changed its Writing scale back to 1-12 from 1-36 in the September 2016 exam, how would the superscoring process for the essay score work?

Will there be a form of conversion between the two scales? Will only scores from one scale be accepted for superscoring?

I understand that different colleges that superscore may have different rules, but so far I haven’t seen any address the issue. If it matters, I am specifically looking at UChicago’s superscoring policy.

I have the same question. I have a 30 and a 10 for the essays, and I don’t know which is better.

Do the colleges even consider the writing score?

@mommdc The colleges that I’m looking at say it’s supplemental, so I’m assuming they’ll consider the scores if they’re sent in. Since I’ve only taken ACT + Writing, I don’t have the choice of not sending them in.
