<p>Does it affect your English or overall score at all? Or is it totally separate? I thought it was separate, but one of my friends said that it does count. He said he got an 8 on the writing and it brought his score down from a 31 to a 30. Is this true? If it doesn't count towards the composite score, does it even really matter?</p>
<p>I am pretty sure it's a separate (and optional) section that has it's own significance.</p>
