Acting programs in Georgia or that count Georgia for instate tuition?

Just look for a couple of well rounded programs in Georgia or that count Georgia as instate tuition.

Here’s a list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_System_of_Georgia#List_of_institutions

Google each and see if they have a Theater/drama dept. Of the ones that do, research the curricula to further narrow your list. Of those you like, email department heads, schedule a visit and department tour, and attend a student production. Talk to the current students. That’s what we did. I know UGA and KSU have programs. GA. Tech does not.

I have heard good things about Kennesaw State and Valdosta State, which are both state schools, so have the bonus of instate tuition. One of my former students transferred to Kennesaw because it was in-state for her, and she could live at home and commute. She just graduated and has a year long resident acting internship at a professional theatre. I have friends who worked at or attended Valdosta, and students who have performed in their summer theatre. Seems like a solid program. I also have worked with LaGrange College students, and they were solidly trained, and are working. LaGrange is private, but not sure of what kind of scholarship support they have.

Wow you are really helpful thank you soooo much!
