Who good is Valdosta state vs Kennesaw state drama program?

I honestly want to stay in Georgia for my educations so I just want to know how good these two programs are or if there are anymore good programs I can look at?

Anyone???

I don’t know anything about these programs, but could you visit the campuses/talk to current students? Try to see a production, or sit in on a rehearsal, if they will let you (sometimes this is allowed, sometimes not - probably depends on the school/director). Also, see if there are reviews of their shows online. I’m sure you’ve done this, but look at the curriculum if you haven’t already. Good luck!

Thank you

KSU has extensive biographies on their faculty on their web page. Start reading there and then decide what sort of questions to email or ask in person. I skimmed over the bios and only saw one person listed as being an AEA member. That would be important info to me but maybe not to you.

@Dramakid000 I’ve been around CC for a very long time and don’t recall much, if any, discussion about those two schools. Your best bet is the advice to visit, take a tour, explore their curriculum and faculty, talk to current students, ask about grad success, etc.

@alwaysamom Would that mean it’s not a smart idea to go? I really wanted to stay in Georgia because it’s kind of developing as far as work coming here and it’s affordable.

My daughter’s drama teacher recommends Columbus State as the best acting program in state. UNG-Gainesville and Brenau are also associated with the Gainesville Theater Alliance, which seems like a great partnership. We’ve seen a couple of their performances and have been impressed!

@Dramakid000 Just wanted to be sure you saw my note above. Good luck!

Oh yes I did I actually am about to audition for them!! Thank you @homeschoolma
