Activities and Awards

For this section, format = any way u’d like it?
is it just a listish thing, or do you put little essays in about each thing? purely informative, or a chance to be creative?

I did a list with explanatory paragraphs for each bullet point. Don't know if that's the way you're supposed to do it tho...

Anyone and everyone - explain what you did?:p

I did a few short paragraphs. I only went into 4 ECs and the awards directly related with those.

i think this was already discussed in another thread--it seems like there was quite a bit of diversity in how the ED acceptees formatted this, so I don't believe they're looking for anything in particular. Just do whatever suits you, your accomplishments are more important than their formatting.

i think its purely informative. i just did short explanations for each thing

Rabo, were they creative or informative?

informative. Very straightforward.

say thankya

when it says "your greatest achievements and interests", that means you shouldn't put down crap like nat. merit commended, CSF and crap like that that really don't mean much?

hehohehohe.

i did a paragraph for my top 3 activities, and then attached a resume which listed my other achievements/awards. Make sure you give them a chance to see everything about you...it helps them form a better image of who you are

"attached a resume" on the online part, would you just write your few paragraphs for top activities, like:
Basketball
5 hours per week
(paragraph)

and then at the end just add the same kinda thing but w/o a paragraph for less important stuff?

Honestly, just do whatever seems right. Some activities might not need more than just what it is and the time commitment. Others you might want to go into more. No one can give you a specific format because there are so many ways to do this, and from the wide range of ED acceptees, it seems like most of them are fine.

what rabo said...

but also, what you put sounds fine. That way you can elaborate on your more significant activities/awards, but still be able to mention your other accomplishments.

PM me if you want me more help....but don't sweat the small stuff!

That's easy for you to say, starryeyedgirl, you got in already.

hm how long are the paragraphs lol..i just wrote one and it's like half a page

You have the confidence of a fat kid who just hit puberty.

Suck it up and just don't be stupid. You don't need to ask a question for every damn thing on the application.

i am fat, and when i hit puberty is none of your business.

Just write your damn essays.
