Activities on ApplyTexas for UT Austin

Should I list the same activities on ApplyTexas as well as on the expanded resume?

The ApplyTexas application is kind of confusing and the directions aren't very clear. I'm having a lot of trouble with the extracurricular and volunteer activities page. There's a lot of extra information I'd like to include about several of my activities that the application doesn't let me include (e.g. I'll continue some of my volunteering through my senior year, but I'm not sure if I should put the future dates of volunteering and make a note somewhere about that or not). Moreover, for most of my activities the character limit doesn't let me include all the details about them.

I know that for UT Austin I'll be able to send in an expanded resume and that would give me the space needed to elaborate on these activities. My question is, should I include these activities on ApplyTexas anyway, and just re-list and expand on them in the resume? Would the admissions officers advise against this repetition?

I’m no expert, but what I’m doing is listing them on the app, and relisting and explaining them on the resume. Some of my activities deserve the recognition I think.

Okay, cool. I emailed the admissions office and they said pretty much the same thing, so that’s what I’ll do.

Would you happen to know if I can write essays A, B, and C? I already have essays written out and I can’t decide which ones I like better lol
