Activities Section on common app?!

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>so for the activites section of your application, under the small open ended "details and accomplishments" how much detail did you go into?! (I haven't filled out it but I think it only gives you like 20 words which sucks!) Cause I was in speech and debate and I'd like to list all the national and state awards I won!!!</p>

<p>they have room for 12 activities, how many did you actually list?
I could list 12 but some of them were like a month of volunteer work, so I'm thinking I should do my top 5 activities and maybe 1-2 not so important ones.</p>

<p>I listed 6. I didn’t want to list unimportant stuff.</p>

<p>Print out your first one and count the characters on the printed copy- it is less than the space on the application that you type on. You can add a resume, but other board members say not to unless your activities are unusual or need additional explanation…</p>
