Hey guys, I was accepted to these programs, and I have hard time to choose which one.
I am an international student, so the cost doesn’t matter.
I hope to become an actuary(earning licenses) or financial analyst either in the US or Asian country.
I know UCLA has a good weather almost all over the year, but i am concerning the study atmosphere (party school?)
On the other side, I appreciate the huge UMich alumni network, but the weather is worse than ucla.
And about the program, I think they are almost equal?
How about the reputation? career path?
Also, I think UCLA has way too many asians? I’m asian, so i wanna experience different culture and learn english faster?
PLEASE HELP ME CHOOSE THE PROGRAM!!!
Both their programs are among the best in the nation. The schools party culture and alumni networks are comparable as well.
If you are planning to work in the USA after graduating then UCLA would be better for the west coast and Michigan for the east coast and Midwest.
If cost is truly close then geography and other fit is likely the key for you. Best if you can visit if at all possible.
I agree with the above poster!
“Also, I think UCLA has way too many asians? I’m asian, so i wanna experience different culture and learn english faster?”
That is a valid reason for choosing Michigan.
Thanks guys! I think I’ve made my decision! GO BRUINS
