For some reason, the midwest produces a lot of actuaries. University of Illinois is one of the top schools. University of Wisconsin- Madison also has a large program.

Many large insurance companies are midwest based so they hire locally and promote the major at the top state schools.
At UW they report actuarial science majors had jobs offers averaging $55,000 plus bonus. Not bad for a BS degree.

UPenn(Wharton), NYU(Stern), Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois all have very respected actuarial science programs.

U of Waterloo!

more schools..........Washburn Univ., Drake, Georgia State, Iowa

Does Binghamton have a good actuarial science program?
