<p>My dad is an actuary, and I remember him saying years ago that Georgia State was a top actuarial science program.</p>
<p>I think U of Nebraska has a pretty strong program (close to some insurance companies).</p>
<p>I was under the impression most people just study math or applied math and take the licensing exam for actuarial science.</p>
<p>I want to major in actuarial science because I heard it prepares you well for the first two exams.
I also herd Pen State prepares you for the 3rd aswell.</p>
<p>The Society of Actuaries' website gives a listing of colleges with actuarial science programs and even tells you which schools' curriculum prepare you for the first exam or the first 2 exams. Here's the link: </p>
