Add me back to the alumnus

Hi all
Been awhile, but while doing some packing/un-packing/organizing, I found a little something that reminded me of these boards and I wanted to come back and share any alumni knowledge I can. Nice to see some familiar names too.

I'm a Eng grad, now full-time employed and such doing what I think are great things. Happy to answer any engineering questions (college or post-grad) and transfer-type questions.

shoe!! good to hear from you.

Shoe! So good to hear from you and know that you’re doing well. You were very active and helpful in 2010-11 when S2 was applying to SEAS. He’s now a 2nd yr mech’e finishing up midterms. So glad to have you back just in time for RD announcements in a few weeks. Active alum add so much to the forum. :)

Agree with hazel and blue, Shoe; welcome back! There are about five or six frequent posting alums whose advice has been very helpful to our family. No more CC sabbaticals for you for a while…at least until D graduates next May! ;)

It’s great to see your name pop up! So good to hear that you are doing well! :)

Hah, nice to be back, in whatever capacity it is. Just in time for some good ole Hoo bball too! I’m in a weird rut that I haven’t been in for awhile, which is lack of doing much community/volunteer-y type stuff. Work has been crazy lately (in a good way) and I’m gearing up for a 40-mile walk to breast cancer trying to fund-raise and train. I was dusting/organizing when I came across a shiny Jefferson Cup, it made me think of this place and figured it’s about time to start helping out again.

Hope things are going well for everyone, alum (you school-free yet Hazel?), current students, and parents (so, you glad you listened to us that the massive bill would be worth it? ;))

I graduated in 2011, but I am a teacher, so I am not technically school-free haha. ;)

Shoe, [here’s an update from a familiar name that will make you smile](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-virginia/1358460-dr-sullivan-reinstated.html#post14567484).

Close enough Hazel.

We’re all a bunch of cheeseballs on here sometimes Dean J :)

Wait is the official reunions thread? Can I join? I meant to reactivate myself a couple months ago but nothing was really happening except chancing threads…

Shoe, did you know Hazel is getting married?!

welcome back. I have a student that is first yr engineering at UVA. Just curious what major in SEAS were you and what are you doing now?

db! Yay! Looks like we’re all grown up, what are you up to these days? Now all that’s missing is Powder. And nooo, Hazel dropped the bomb. Congrats!!

livelife: PM me

Powder checked in a few months ago. She’s in a post-bac program getting ready for med school, I believe. It sounded like she was doing well!

CONGRATULATIONS
Hazel!

Thank you :)

I am good! I’m finishing my masters this year and working before I apply to more school. I’m still deciding between med school, grad school, or (quite possibly) both, hence this time off!
