ADDERALL: Your opinion?

My friend took the SAT last year for the second time. With no extra prep beyond what he’d studied for the first SAT, his score rocketed 300 points. The catch: he’d taken 15mg of Adderall 30 mins before the test.

I’ll be taking the SAT in a few months and my friend has offered me Adderall for it. My question is: does it work? I’m not asking whether it’s morally right or wrong to do so, and I’ve done my research and already know plenty about the cooldown and the addiction risks.

Basically, have you / has someone you know of taken the SAT with Adderall? What was the experience like? How were your scores? Thanks!

edit: I forgot to add that I have taken the SAT before and did fairly well on it (2310-- yes, it’s good, but I’m trying to superscore higher). I’ve also take Adderall before (during finals last semester) and they worked really well, and I know how it affects my body.

No you should not do it. First never take any prescribed medication that the doctor prescribed for someone else. Also you don’t know how it is going to work on you and you might not do well on SAT.

One of my friends took adderall before the test. When he arrived to the test center, he couldn’t concentrate to the test since he was so focused thinking other stuffs. But I have heard that for other students adderall worked. As college67 don’t take any prescribed medication. You can study instead of taking that drug. Your scores are really high so instead you should focus on improving your GPA,if it is low, and your EC’s

Don’t go down that road. It’s a slippery slope and leads to no good. You are doing great without it.
