Adding colleges to Common App for rising senior?

I am a rising senior and I would like to start adding colleges to my common app account so I can view the supplements and other requirements. If I add the colleges on my list to my account, will they roll-over when the 2018 Common App opens in August?

Wondering the same thing…and also since it’s early, if student changes mind, can you delete a college after it’s added, then add a different one, as long as total is <20?

@jaguarKing Yes, the colleges will stay in your list.
@sunnyschool Yes, you can delete colleges and add others up to the limit of 20.

Just a tip, do not fill in your Common App information until it rolls over, name, address, grades etc will all be deleted when it rolls over, or that was how it worked in 2016. My son filled in most of the Common App in early August , then redid everything when it rolled over in mid August that year. Not a big deal but just wait to fill it in. You can view all the special essays but again, colleges change those year to year. Get working on your main Common App Essay as those prompts always have an OPEN essay, so you can write your Common App Essay early I believe and it will work for the open prompt.

Several sections actually will rollover. Including name, address, and others.

I thought I had heard that Common App was moving to July 1 availability. We were disappointed that it is still August 1. Do we know that the essays are staying the same for 2018=19?
