For those who requested additional financial aid, or a reevaluation, did you get more money?

Does completing "round two" of the financial aid process generally result in more money? Generally not?

If you don't ask, you definitely won't get it. It depends on the school. we asked for more $$ said school definitely was first choice requested a financial review, (sent in aid package from williams) and got more $$

not yet, but still trying...

Definitely worth trying! I've asked for a re-evaluation and I'm waiting on a decision. Even if the answer is no, at least I know I gave it my best shot!

How should I ask? By phone, or write an email?

By phone, in my opinion. Have your parents call, and see the other threads addressing the "how do I ask for more money" issue.

I agree with raven001, its probably best to have your parents call.

In our particular case, my mom made an appointment w/the FA office on the day I was visiting the school. She had the opportunity to personally present our situation, and she said the FA officer was very friendly and helpful.

By no means does this doesn't mean that the final decision will be any different than if you discuss it by phone, but if distance/timing is not a factor, I don't think a personal meeting would hurt.

Good Luck!

we had our financial advisor deal with it. I think they wrote/are writing a letter or called/are calling them. They didn't call us back to see if we got more money or not. I'll post this week when we hear back
