<p>Would it be appropriate to put a log of the dates/activities/times of your volunteer work in the additional info part of the Common App? There really is not a place on the Common App to show all the different things you have done for the community/volunteering!</p>
<p>Volunteer hours are generally placed in the EC section, to my knowledge. That’s where I logged mine back when anyway.</p>
<p>I wouldn’t. Instead try to summarize your activities in the EC section. For instance:</p>
<p>Position held, honors won, etc.
Community volunteer</p>
<p>Activity
Organized annual food drive, participated in walkathons for animal shelter, started letter writing program to vets (recruited 30 volunteers).</p>
<p>List only the most significant activities. Include one-of experiences in the hour count but don’t bother to list them as separate experience.</p>
