Is there a word limit to the additional information section? Because I sent in my research introduction and when I checked print preview, it wasn't truncated at all. However, I don't know how much everyone is writing there. My research is graduate school level, so I wanted to explain it, but I couldn't fill out a research supplement because I'm not done yet and I don't have any abstracts or anything like that available to write. Also, writing an abstract wouldn't work because it's a really specific field and I need to define all of the terms and give everyone a general sense of what is even going on in the experiment. Thank you! I'm just freaking out at this point.

There isn’t a limit, but there is a danger that your reader will lose sight of the highlights of the rest of your app while getting bogged down in a lot of dense academic text.

Yes there is a limit if you write in the space provided. If it hasn’t been truncated on the preview then you haven’t passed the limit. However, if you would like to write more, then put it on a word document and upload it. :)

You could ask your counselor to send it for you. No need to freak out.

I don’t want to submit an athletic supplement cause i don’t have a video of myself. obviously, this desadvantages the process, right?
so, is the supplement absolutely required if i want to participate in varsity sports?

and
2. can i submit my common app and/or supplements BEFORE the SSR and the recs?

I can’t speak to your athletic supp questions, but I can tell you that it is fine (and quite common) to submit the common app and supp before the school report and recs.
