<p>I was at a regional competition this Saturday and the team that I was the leader of took home the big trophy. How do I let colleges know? Would email be enough, or should I mail stuff?</p>

<p>Is this some amazing award? Academic? Something that completely fits with your whole application? Not sure what type of competition it was, but if it is oh-so selective, send an email. If it was an EC, probably not, especially because it was a team effort and it was regional not national.</p>
<p>If you think it’s significant enough but you don’t want to bother colleges too much, you could ask your counselor to put it on your midyear report.</p>
