I am working on my CD now and the Harvard supplement was a little vague on the details for the music CD. I only have 3 piano pieces on there and they are about 5 minutes each. Should I stop or add on other pieces? and should I include a list of the pieces included in it? and do I just send the addressed CD alone in the mail after I submit my supplement online?

Sorry for so many questions..

For the additional essays, should the writing be legit/do they consider them seriously? I was planning on just listing books I have read for fun and required for school. Is that useful or should I just write another full essay?

15 minutes is probably the most they will be able to listen to. If you want to add more selections, you should edit each individual piece down.

The additional essay is just that – it’s extra. Students have been accepted just listing books, others have been accepted with more legit essays, and still others have been accepted without an additional essay.

Edit: Yes, include the names of the pieces and send the CD alone in the mail after submitting the supplement per Harvard’s instructions: Place CD in a standard 5.5" by 5"-size soft protective sleeve to protect your item during mailing. Label both the case and the CD itself with your legal name, date of birth and high school.
