<p>Does anyone know any common additional essay topics? Should you write a Why this college, or answer another question on the common app, or make up your totally own new question? Can they tell if it is the essya topic for another school? Also do you recommend writing these, or does it just make the adcoms mad (especially if your sending them other things like resumes and extra teacher recs or supplemental forms)? Any thoughts or ideas would help. (this is for like HYP etc)</p>

<p>i would say adcoms know what other colleges have as their essay questions. so reusing a question from another school is tricky. however, if they give you the choice of making up your own essay question... it's a chance for you to express yourself, so go for it, if you have one in mind.</p>
