I currently am residing in New Jersey to finish my last year of high school next year. However my mom rents a house down in North Carolina and has already placed a transfer down there so once I graduate, she will move down there. On my common app am I able to put the North Carolina address and would that allow me to count as an in state student in North Carolina or would my residency still be New Jersey? I’m not trying to be a North Carolina resident for tuition purposes but more for the reason being there is a higher chance of getting into UNC if you are an in state student.
