"Admission Committee Completed" changed to "Admission Committee Commenced"

<p>I noticed that some posters, including myself, in the other thread were saying that their statuses changed from "Admission Committee Completed" to "Admission Committee Commenced" but the date hasn't changed at all and it has not moved up in the documents list.</p>

<p>Is there anyone who is still "completed"?</p>

Status for DS now says “Admission Committee Commenced” with no change in the date.

<p>maybe it means they “commenced” mailing the decision? Don’t know how committee would fit in it though :P</p>

<p>Answer from Carnegie Mellon Admissions Facebook Page:</p>

<p>Carnegie Mellon Office of Admission We changed ‘completed’ to ‘commenced’ here at the Office of Admission to fix an internal error in our system. The date you see attached to the statement is when the committee convened to review your application. </p>

<p>This change was only to our system, so it doesn’t affect the status of your decision or your decision letter.

<p>Where did you guys ever see these “commencement” statements? I just have under “admission documents read” it saying “folder pulled committee read” back in January, but I don’t see anything about commencement.</p>

<p>This might be somewhat silly, but does anybody’s page have “SAT Reasoning Test Results” posted under “Documents Received” even though they only sent ACT scores to CMU?</p>

<p>It said it was received March 12th, and I checked Collegeboard and I don’t have any records of sending in SAT scores to CMU.</p>

<p>EDIT: Never mind. Somehow, they filled out my SAT test scores (which are totally different from what I got on the actual SAT) which corresponds somewhat with my ACT scores. I guess it was just for easy comparison.</p>
