Admission decision?

I was wondering…I applied to several schools already. Their early admission deadline isn’t even due for another couple months. Yet, I’m applying for regular admission. Some of my schools do not have a place to indicate whether I’m applying regular or early. So if I apply this early for regular, will they think I’m applying early decision? (but I’m not…)

The reason I applied this early is to get a burden off my back…so I can focus on schoolwork…

If you apply ED, you have to sign something agreeing to their terms. So if you didn’t sign anything, that should indicate that you are applying regular decision.

well, I’m using ApplyTexas…they dont have a place to indicate my decision plan preference…so I’m just worried they might think I’m applying early decision/action, whil I’m only doing regular…my apps is already submitted so I can’t really do much on that…but I still have 8 more apps pending, and just don’t want to bind myself into a decision or anything…

no one is sure?

Ask on the State forums - Texas colleges.

I’m pretty sure no Texas colleges using ApplyTexas offer binding early decision, meaning you gotta go if they accept you. As others have said, in order for you to be entering a binding admission scheme, you have to sign an official form that says you promise to go if they accept you. (Often, your parent and/or counselor also have to sign.) You didn’t do that, so you are okay. It doesn’t matter if you applied early. In fact, for some majors that fill to capacity, it is better to be an early bird. Also, some Texas schools officially or unofficially use rolling admissions, which means if they like what they see, they might notify an early applicant now instead of after the final application deadline. If you want more details about the application review process, early vs. regular admission schemes and timing of decisions, the precise information is on the web site for every school to which you applied.

Bottom line, you are good, congrats on getting your apps in early and good luck!

No if you mark RD then they will know you are doing RD
