Admission Decision

Has anyone received an admission decision yet if you already applied? I was under the impression that although they say you will hear by 2/1, decisions would roll out sooner as in past years.

Usually November is the earliest, or December, depending on exactly when you sent your transcripts.

Thank you- that’s good to know. I read another post where it seemed that this year’s decisions would not start rolling in until closer to February.

In 2013 and 2016, decisions started to come out in November, for the kids that applied the second the Common Application opened. My kid who applied earlier got his decision in November, my kid who waited to late October, got his decision in January. Those were College of Engineering apps.
Also, merit based awards were sent in two separate snail mail envelopes, one from the University as a whole , and then there can be additional merit awards from Engineering, Leeds school of Business, etc, that come a week later. So just be patient. When admissions gets overwhelmed with apps, it may take longer, but maybe they have a new system of only sending answers in February, which would surprise me, but its possible.
Admissions decisions are made per college, so College of Music, one must do a live audition and the decision is based on that audition timing.

@Coloradomama Do you know anything about when decisions will start coming out. I’ve called admissions and participated in a chat where they just guarantee receiving them by 2/1 for EA, but not if they will all be released on that day, or up until that day.

Sorry I do not know. In the past some EA decisions come out in December and January. Maybe post the question again to get others to reply about it. In the past, it depended on when you submitted test scores and completed the application and there was a rolling aspect to EA at CU Boulder.

I know my nephew received his before thanksgiving 4 years ago (they always travel Thanksgiving week and he got it when on vacation). They will start coming out around now. You may also be accepted by A&S and then by engineering, business, etc. about a week later. Last year a friend’s son was accepted to A&S, then the Honors college, but didn’t get into engineering, all about this time of year.
