I know what they are doing - we’ll get our rejections on Friday and then they leave on Christmas break this wy no one calls them. >:)
Nothing in todays mail in SE PA…I imagine it’s not good news at this point
Its actually disappointing how long this is taking and with the information from @pama3115 regarding the VIP ID it appears that what is on the website and reality are different.We have received notification from every other school applied to via the web portal or email prior to the snail mail. The waiting is the hardest part!!
Same here - nothing Northern NJ so I’m convinced it’s bad news.” I agree that they are likely sending bad news last so they can close for break and hide which really makes me question their practices even further.
Stats - 1220 SAT, 3.4 GPA at a strong private school, honors classes, college credit, multiple ECs and community involvement including varsity team captain of a year-round sport.
Seems like I got deferred. Not what I was hoping for, but at least it’s not a denial.
Stats-1200 GPA 3.8
I sent a really nice email this morning to our admissions counselor asking for help. Heard nothing so far. I’ll keep you posted.
Okay, so Admissions told me my daughter’s decision was mailed on the 12th. It finally came in today (accepted but her portal updated on Monday night so we already knew) and the letter is dated December 13th. Not sure if this will be the same for everyone else

@bjo114 Okay, so my daughters big YES envelope finally arrived today. They told me it was mailed on the 12th. Wrong… the letter inside is dated 12/13. I’m right here in SC, upstate, about 1.5 hours from Columbia so mailing shouldn’t have taken more than 3 or 4 days tops but it took 6. If your child’s was mailed on the 14th, you should get it tomorrow or Friday at the latest I would think. But check the portal tonight because my daughter’s portal updated on Monday night the 17th. Really not sure why her portal updated so quickly but thank God bc she was about to drive me bonkers with her pessimism (and I was catching it)! @tc1207 ahhhhh thats good news, yeah we are here in Myrtle beach so It should be here hopefully by tomorrow. Im starting to become pessimistic too. I’ve checked her portal all day and nothing 
Please post stats once you find out if you were accepted/deferred/denied! My D is getting anxious and we haven’t been home to check the mail yet!!!

1220 3.83 weighted oos - no information here. Most kids last year below 1250 sat were deferred - many updates grades at end of semester and many I heard were then accepted. I feel like if no yes envelope yet and no update on portal then it’s a deferral. Hopefully not denial.
Nothing in W. PA today but this email below does somewhat confirm the mail delays…After talking to the office and then receiving this reply, I feel good about a decision letter tomorrow…and maybe even a portal update tonight since the decision was mailed on Friday. Hopefully my next post will be good news and I hope the same for all of you!
Here is an excerpt from an email I received today from Admissions…This was the reply received…
“Some context for status of letters worth noting…We’ve discovered that there have been a few post office snafus impacting timing of mail delivery this week. A lot of the mail goes through a processing center that was impacted last week’s snow storm. Some areas are backlogged and the holidays are adding to overall volume. We apologize for the delay, but given that the post office is in charge right now, we cannot make the mail go any faster than it can.”
Thx pama, Above sounds like hogwash to me. I also find it highly unlikely that they would hold declined letters till the last minute. It’s a very big school and I don’t really think they put that much thought into it. That being said I’m not really positive that the outcome will be good

Nothing today in WI either…we were told it was mailed over a week ago (monday) at this point, nothing on the portal either. I completely agree @mallen9295 it has killed all excitement for the school and made me question the school overall for sure. Is this an example of how the rest of it is ran?
