Admission decisions

Raffles Junior College? WOW... good school man. I have a friend at the Singapore American School and a couple friends at Raffles :)

hello jacey: which school do you go to?

my fedex arrived late. i only received it yesterday morning.

So now we must attack the Fedex deliverman for our international acceptance yea? =( I am giving up......Depressed and feeling HOPELESS!

they said in the packet that they send out the decisions to the overseas first so that they can have enough time to get their VISAs. and for others, they will post online on 26th i believe.

if you're international, i guess you should call the admission office if you still have not received anything. just in case it gets lost.

Thanks, I am a resident of US, therefore i need no VISA, however, I am not sure if the office has sent all the acceptance notices to overseas applicants, which include int'l students and applicants with int'l educatiuon background, via Fedex....

I wrote a email to the int'l student specialist, he told me that the fact that i havent receive the Fedex as of yet, has nothing to do with the decision. He ask me to wait and letter will arrive soon coz a decision is already there for me....

I'm from Hong Kong, tiffny.

Hey people, don't worry. There are still one or two Northwestern applicants in my school that haven't heard anything yet.

the suspense is killing me. i hate knowing that ur not getting in, you know?

plushenko - I vaguely recall you asking me that too :p. Nope, no admit packet. The undergrad packet was mailed the 18th of march (i think) , and the HPME decisions will be mailed the 28th. I'm glad they didn't wait for the decision to mail me the undergrad packet...I would have been totally freaked out at not receiving a fedex.

I have a quick question for you plushenko - A young relative of mine will be going to Singapore soon to live ... which do you find seems to be the better school, Raffles or Singapore American?

calico - you don't know anything until you receive the decision, just look at mobster's post. Good luck, good luck!

There are sooo many schools to choose from. private ones are: UWC, OFS, SAS, LF, etc. public or Singaporean ones: Raffles is the magnet.

I think your relative should go to Singapore American, which is almost like Andover, just without boarding. :)

Hope this helps

thanks plushenko, I was leaning towards SAS as well. I'm afraid that my relative won't have time to adjust well enough to get into Raffles Junior College -- friends tell me it's quite a difference in the educational system between singapore and where i am now.

when do they mail out decisions to us citizens? before or after the 26th (if that's when we can find out online...)

is it possible at all that we can check online decisions on the nw website tommorow (Friday)????????

i guess we'll find out tommorow...

I got in!!! I found out today in my email.

Waitlisted  This blows.

^^You guys realize that this thread is 5 years old, right?
