Admission essay questions for 2011 applicants?

Does anyone know when they will be available? If they are already available, what are they? Couldn't find them on the yale website.

July 1st, the new apps come out

Yale uses the Common App, and I don't think that changes much at all from year to year.

yeah, the Common App questions will 99.99% remain the same, you all you ambitious juniors can get a head start on college apps, that is, if ur not bogged down by SATs/SAT IIs/APs :)

In the past, there have been 2 essays for Yale - just a reguar open-ended personal statement, and a full-length essay on a certain activity or job you had (similar to the EC short answer on the common app).

Yale uses the Common Application, on which the essay questions rarely change. In two different info sessions at Yale and one in our local area, ALL the admissions officers said that the intents of the essays (and what they are looking for) are summed up as follows:

Essay #1

Tell us something about yourself.

Essay #2

Tell us something else about yourself.

Do that in whatever context you choose. Worked for my D, who did not try to answer any particular question.
