admission essays?

<p>first of all i am applying to UT Austin for liberal arts in fall 09 and my GPA is 3.5 with 45 hours.</p>

<p>ok so my essay topic A & E are 525 words each.</p>

<p>I am still working on my optional essay and I have 300 words and i can't think of anything else to write.
so can I make my optional essay 400 words or is that too short?</p>
