I have a good relationship with my teachers so my recommendations may be fine. My writing is also good so my application essays may make an impression. My personal statement will be about my bond with my hometown & homeland and my struggle to overcome the difficulties of growing up in an undeveloped area.
I’m able to afford 12K/year and I have a very strong Vietnamese personality. I’ll be really grateful if you can make some suggestions so that I can make the best decision for my future. Thanks lots!
Hi Gloria, I think the problem wouldn’t be your admissions qualifications but possibly the amount you can pay. You aren’t a US citizen, correct? In either case, MHC does give both need-based and merit aid to international students – it’s just hard to project what that would be.
Hey Gloria,
Hope you are doing great! Was very.much impressed by your qualifications and wanted to find out how your application process to Mount Holyoke is going on.
Hi. Did the early writes come in the mail, or email? If by mail, what date was on the letter? Lastly, we’re on the west coast. Are you also, or closer to MHC? Thanks!
@Veryapparent Mine too. She was accepted EA to University of Michigan (and the Honors College today) and she has applied to a few Ivies. Her heart is with Scripps - she really loved the campus and the vibe. My heart is with Brown (where her brother is) but it will be her choice! I think the sweet email from Mt. Holyoke really made her think though!
@wrenwu – my D got the early write for Mt. Holyoke today too and is very interested in Scripps as well. Also Barnard and some other places. And she’s been invited to Honors program at UNC-CH. Similar path to your daughter it seems! Congrats!!
@AlmostThere2018 Yes! Congrats to your daughter on Mt. Holyoke. My D applied to Barnard as well! Good luck with the process - it’s all starting to ramp up!
