Admission into vandy with a 29 ACT?

<p>Well we should be hearing from vandy soon, but I wanted to get an idea of what my chances of getting into vandy were.</p>

<p>with:</p>

<p>ACT 29-(29, 30, 30, 27)
3.74 gpa
9/189 rank</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:</p>

<p>NHS- 2 years (VP this year)
NEHS- 2 years(Sec this year)
Student Council- This year
Senior class officer
Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering- 2 years
Tennis for past 3 years</p>

<p>Awards-
Rotary Scholastic Scholar past 3 years
Illinois State Scholar 10-11
4-5 schools awards</p>

<p>I m asian and from a public school (1000 students) in Southern Illinois
major-chem</p>

<p>Went to the Washington University's High School Summer Scholar's program this past summer- did very well there.</p>

<p>So, do I have no chance or a solid chance of gettting in? Thank you!</p>

<p>I anticipate a rejection. ACT 31, QPA 5.06, GPA 3.79, rank 5/535, Varsity LAX, 2nd degree blackbelt, NHS- VP, Mu Alpha Theta, Senior Class Favorite, Political Club organizer and President, lots of volunteer hours etc. Vandy is tough due to large international recruitment.</p>

<p>is your 3.74gpa weighted or unweighted? I had a 3.75 unweighted GPA with a 4.27 Weighted, 29 on ACT, 1320 SAT, 750s on both Math Subject Tests, and was rejected ED II from Vandy. But it is different for everyone.</p>
