Hi Everyone, I’m actually looking for some information regarding admission in the masters program in mining and earth systems engineering. I have a few questions if anybody would kindly answer them, i’ll be really grateful.
1-I’ve done my bachelors in civil and construction engineering(international student), would that pose a problem while applying for a masters in mining engineering? as my background is not mining.
2- I’ve heard that the acceptance rate at csm is very low, so can anyone tell me what can be done to strengthen my case for admission? I have an IELTS score of 8.0 and my bachelors grade is 70%.
3- Based on my bachelors degree which masters would you recommend at csm masters in underground construction and tunneling or masters in mining and earth systems engineering. I’m asking this question because I dont know anyone in mining and would like to request the advice from people who are in contact with this field.
4- Lastly, what would your opinion be on the future of the mining industry in the next decade or so. will there be any improvements as right now the industry is not impressive for the upcoming graduates.
