<p>I was accepted about 4 days ago. They send you an email saying Congrats at about the same time you get your acceptance package.
I have a 3.0 and 2030 for the SAT</p>
<p>Got in a few days ago</p>
<p>3.36 GPA, 33 ACT.</p>
<p>I hope they're not delaying the rejections...</p>

<p>Does anyone know if the Dean's Scholarships, (looks like they range between $15K-$27K) are based on just merit, or do they also take need into account? Also, besides the Dean's Scholarship, has anyone received 'other' types of aid from AU, whether in grants, work study, etc. (I assume there are loans, but I don't really consider loans as fin aid). Any other $ that does not have to be paid back?</p>

<p>My son was accepted with $27,000 in aid and in the honors program - there was no financial need taken into account here - our Fafsa efc is above American's cost - but that would mean no retirement savings for my husband or I for the next four years. And I might lose my job - my company is being bought at the end of this year.</p>

<p>But, I received my package in the mail yesterday! At first, I thought it was just a viewbook, but it turned out to be a folder with a lot of info. So I was happy.</p>
