For people who have received admission decisions (either acceptance or rejection), when and how did you find out? I checked the portal a min ago, but it has not yet been updated. So UCSD releases results randomly or.. ?

Thanks!

Thanks!

They’re calling URMs and possibly engineering majors randomly. Decisions will be posted on the 16th :)

Hi Lilly9! Thanks for your response! But how do you know it’s on march 16 and are they posting all results together?

@barcelotina - My daughter got the call last week and the admissions counselor told her decisions would be posted online on the 16th.

@Mmmmom, thanks!

The website is down for maintenance right now, so maybe they are preparing…

When on the 16th are they being released?

I got my admission call today. They are giving calls out to all regents scholars ahead of time. Accepted!!! I’m a neuro major

Got the call today. I was invited to the overnight program they have, but there was no mention of a Regents scholarship. :/

For those who have gotten phone calls about being accepted, have you logged into UCSD’s MyApplication site? I got a phone call this week and logged in to see if anything had changed; the page you see when you log in is completely different now.

@alwaysawriter I was not called, but how does it look different? does it say you are accepted?

slasherr: Instead of saying “Thanks for the application” and listing my SAT score and all that applicant info, the page is LinkFamily and has many links to student-related things like registering for classes, winter quarter deadlines, and whatnot. I know I’ve been accepted, but I don’t know why the page looks like that.

@alwaysawriter. Same situation here.

When the email gets sent out does it say “Congratulations” in the title if you’re in?

@slasherr: The decisions are supposed to be officially released tomorrow, or so I’ve been hearing. So I don’t know what email you’re referring to–though UCSD will likely send an email tomorrow notifying everyone that decisions are up.

@alwaysawriter I’m referring the the email when they say notifications are out. I just got into Davis, and they emailed me saying “Congratulations from UC Davis” so I was wondering if SD did the same.

UCSD hasn’t sent the email yet.

When Riverside notified me, the email did have “Congratulations” in the subject line. But for UCI, the email simply said “Your application status has changed,” so there was no way of knowing what the decision was until I logged in (and actually, the UCI email came after I had already seen my admission status). I think each campus does it differently.

I guess I’ll just have to wait until tomorrow unless a current student can answer this

Hey! My UCSD login pages now takes me to “Link Family”, not the usual “Thanks for the application” site. I didn’t get a call or anything. Does this mean anything? Let’s hope it does… ;)

@allnerves: Does anyone really know? Highly unlikely. If you were really really curious about the glitch, you could have called them about it, but it’s too late for that now. The decisions are supposed to come out tomorrow. Everyone. Needs. To. Chill. Out. Every other post in the UCSD forum is about the admissions site or admission calls. sigh And I understand that everyone’s anxious, but still. It’s not productive to ask questions that no one knows the answers to.
