When will UCSD decisions be announced? Any other items that would benefit others who were not there?

Thanks.

When will UCSD decisions be announced? Any other items that would benefit others who were not there?

Thanks.

They announced everyone who was invited to Scholars day "you are accepted to UCSD".
You do mean the the thing on last Friday? My friend went and that is what he told me.

You're in! The chancellor announced it at the beginning of the day.
UCSD also just sent out an email to everyone invited to scholars' day (even if you didn't go) congratulating you on your admission.
The email also says the myapplication website will be up with decisions by March 15.

musicgal3, decisions will be up for all freshman by March 15th?

:) Thanks.

Did they tell you if you got regents or not?
I was supposed to attend scholar's day but couldn't miss school.

^ no

this is the exact email

Hello _______!

All of us in Admissions & Enrollment Services want to say Congratulations on being admitted to UC San Diego!

For those of you who were here on campus for Scholars’ Day last Friday, we enjoyed showing the campus to you and some of your family members. For those who couldn’t be here, we look forward to meeting you sometime soon. By this time next week, you’ll be able to login to MyApplication and accept UC San Diego’s admission offer—it’s easy to do online.

And now, we’d like to know how this worked for you. Would you take 4 or 5 minutes and answer a few questions? It’s the same link, whether you attended Scholars’ Day or whether you weren’t able to get here, your feedback is valuable… this helps us create the best possible introduction to the campus for next year’s scholars. Go to our partner, Student Voice, for the short survey. Many thanks!

And congratulations again—we certainly look forward to welcoming you to the campus in September!

I am dying with anticipation.

I got the email saying congratulations, but was just wondering when we find out about regents.

I liked the cinnamon rolls they supplied at breakfast time.
And the rocket ship pen is my new obsession...wow, I need to get a life XD

Musicgal and Evera: When was the email sent, today the 9th or yesterday, the 8th. By this time, do they mean the 15th or 16th?

Thanks.

thinkingofu, the email says, "Log in to start the acceptance process. (active on March 15)"

Is it true that at the UCSD Scholar's Day, someone announced that UCSD's acceptance rate would be around 10% this year? My friend got regents for SD and said that they announced they would accept around 5k out of 47k applicants...is this number correct?

That's probably incorrect. In the past, about 50k students apply, 25k get accepted, and 5k attend.

If SD accepts only 10% they will overnight become the most selective UC -- more than UCB and UCLA.

^plus they'd need a yield rate of >70% to get their target of ~3600 California freshmen.

wait can the people who got the email for the scholars day post their stats plz.
thank you

They accept about 50%, but only 10% of overall applicants (20% of admittees) choose to matriculate.

for stats go to the decisions thread.
