admission question.

A nice day to you!
Would you guys(experts) please tell me if age is a disadvantage if I am 19 when I apply?
thanks a lot!

i'm rather intrigued to hear the answer to this as well

as opposed to 25 or 50???? Or as opposed to 15?

I'm 19 now. Going to be 20 when heading to uni/college. I know a few who are to be slightly older! It's common, what with NS requirements and all that.

I've never heard of this being a problem. Are you taking a gap year by working or something? Actually, some people think that this shows a mature decision to go to college and makes applicants more attractive, if it has any effect.

I've had some discussions on CC about age at admissions time, but they were about people being a year younger. It doesn't seem to make any difference to adcoms if you are plus or minus a year from the norm. Sometimes it just comes down to what month your birthday is in and when your parents started you in kindergarden.

Your age is really not a factor if you are over 16 and under 50.
