Hi. I was recently accepted ED and I’m am happy to be a deacon! But, this semester I have had lots of trouble in my AP stat. I am doing everything I can to get a C, but risk a D. What are my chances of having my admission rescinded. I am very stressed and I can’t sleep. I hope to recover second semester, but I just want to hear what other people think. Thank you.
I have this question as well! My second semester is going to be really hard (except for 1 of my classes), and I am afraid of my grades slipping. One more question, If you drop one of your classes next semester in order to have Early Release, could that also result in a rescinded admission? I am considering dropping an easy class next semester for Early Release.
It is very rare for an admissions decision to be rescinded, although it does happen. “Senioritis” is not an unusual occurrence and I wouldn’t think that one grade or one class will affect your decision. If however, it extends to the rest of your schedule, that could be a problem.
It’s always best to get out in front of any situation that could reflect negatively on your application. I would contact your Regional Admissions Counselor and explain the situation.
I don’t know what benefit to calling an AO and saying you may get a D. Instead, speak with your GC. And find out what specifically you can/should do to get the grade up.
How important is stats to your future major?
@WakeDad Would dropping one class next semester result in an admissions decision being rescinded?
I would get a tutor if you can
@blazinamazin2023 I’m sorry, but I have no idea how or if that would affect your admission decision.
