My daughter is interested in Acadia and Mount Allison. She has a 3.7 cumulative, unweighted GPA as of the end of Junior Year. Her GPA may rise a bit by the end of first quarter senior year and I am trying to figure out whether to advise her to wait to apply until after those marks are in or to just go for it now. It would be nice to know sooner than later whether or not she gets in. I can't find anywhere online what a US GPA would be for these schools' admission criteria. Does anyone know?

Unlike some Canadian schools, such as McGill, these schools do not publish minimum requirements. I would say that a 3.7 UW GPA would make admission to Acadia and Mount Allison most likely.

Just go for it now. I don’t think the most impacted of majors that isn’t off-limits to American students will deny an American student at 3.7 UW at Acadia and Mt. Allison.

If the major-SAT/ACT combination is right, she can even aim for Toronto or McGill.

My son was recently offered admission to Mt. A’s the Class of 2018 with a GPA considerably lower than your daughter’s. His ACT composite score was 29,
which likely helped (as did his LoR’s).
