Admissions Decisions Class of 2021

@Lzappy in mail up to 12 weeks after you get your decision.

@blackcanyon only thing is the official date on there website is jan 15 which is a sunday so wouldnt you think that any earlier round would also be on a sunday?

How hard is it to get a Morril Scholarship :open_mouth:

@lukeduke29 @drjdillon we are also waiting on merit scholarship information for my younger son…my older son is a sophomore at OSU now and received his merit scholarship letter on 12/20 two years ago.

Thank you @crazyboymom! Really hoping we get good news soon!! My son has his heart set on OSU even though we live in Wisconsin. The merit scholarships sure would make it an easy choice for us!

here is a link to OSU’s website, if you scroll towards the bottom of the page, it describes all of their merit-based scholarships and the criteria you need to have to receive one.

I applied EA, I have not heard back, Application status says Evaluation, do some people see Evaluated?? Does this mean im not gonna hear for a while??? thanks

My D applied in August. Hers also says “Evaluation”. I haven’t heard anyone whose says “evaluated”.

ok thank you, also Will i get an email or must i check the portal to see a decision?

@duncan17 The decision will be up on the Portal first and then you will get an email. It took a few days for me to get the email

According to prior posters, you should receive :

a. An admissions decision posted directly to the portal,

b. An email indicating your admission and further steps to take (within a week or two)
c. Letter in the mail a few weeks thereafter

@duncan17 @STLmommg The status will change from Evaluation to Accepted/Deferred/Denied once they have decided - it just kind of hangs out there in evaluation until you get the decision. You will receive a letter as well as a portal change (which typically happen on select Friday afternoons). If you are in state and get denied at main campus but accepted to a regional campus (like Newark/Marion), it will state that as well.

@MilkTreePillow The last couple of years, OSU has awarded about 300 Morrill Scholarships to an accepted student base of 6000-7000+, so it is competitive.

@mom1girl But how many out of those accepted students do you think actually apply for the Morrill Scholarship?

Has anyone who was accepted on 11/18 heard back about financial aid? Anyone hear about the Buckeye Scholarships yet?

My daughter was accepted to Engineering OOS Pennsylvania 11/18 - still waiting and hoping for Buckeye and/or hopefully Morrill

I’ve heard from people who have called the admissions office that the next wave comes out this Friday, and the final wave comes out in mid-January. So they’re just having three waves, one in the middle of each month this year. Good luck! I really hope I don’t have to wait until January, but I applied on 10/31.

I’m so nervous for this Friday!

Daughter was accepted into COE as OOS from Illinois on 11-18. Waiting on National Buckeye and other scholarships as well as Honors Program. National Buckeye pretty much a must to be a good fit.

I hope decisions come out tomorrow

Has anyone confirmed with admissions that decisions will be released tomorrow?
