Maybe they are rejecting some high stat OOS kids because they know that they have a better and more affordable ISS? I’ve heard of schools (Tulane for example) deferring the higher stat kids because they assume they have a good shot at the Ivies.

My son got accepted in the round before Thanksgiving. I thought I’d give you his stats so it might help calm your fears with the high stats that people are saying were deferred:

I don’t know how someone with a 35 ACT and over a 4.0 GPA got deferred - I suspect it might not be true, unless their essay had grammatical and spelling errors galore, or perhaps no extracurriculars???

I just created an account on this website, I’m hoping today is the day I hear back. I have a 4.1 GPA and 29 ACT, still says evaluation for me.
Literally the machine thing answered and said that due to high call volume, they can’t take my call…lol

I’m going to call the individual campuses to see if they have an answer
