Admissions Decisions Class of 2021

January 20. The third Friday (they day of the week decisions are sent) of the month - and on a holiday week, no less. If you must find something to gripe about, feel free.

To those deciding to go elsewhere, that’s their choice and I’m sure they will do very well wherever they choose.

Now, I believe this is a thread for graduating seniors to post their results. I would much rather see their news than debate how long it takes to get it. But thanks!

Just found out that I got into honors college, And I declined my acceptance last week #mylife#

Just received email notification of my acceptance into the Environment & Natural Resources Scholars program in Morrill Tower.

My D just got into the Humanities Scholars program, but will be a chemistry major. She did list Humanities as an interest, but this was not her top choice. Does it make any sense to be in the program or is she better off housing in a learning community focused on science? I am aware that the scholars notation on her degree would look good.

Very pleased to know that my S who was not accepted into the honor program few weeks ago just got accepted today into the Biological Sciences Scholars Program

Does anyone have any info about the upcoming waves, tomorrow?

@lovethearts1 We are sort of in the same situation. Son is a Business major. Got accepted into his second choice of Scholars, Politics, Society and Law. He is also interested in the Global Business Learning Community. Not sure which way to go. And will we find out about the learning communities prior to the May 1 deadline to accept/decline the Scholars program? I feel awful even considering declining the Scholars program. But he really wants to be in a business program. He was considering law school, but now isn’t so sure.

@drjdillon I am hoping that someone will respond to us on here with experience in this arena. My D hasn’t committed to OSU yet, but I do think there is a strong chance she will go here. We visited a few weeks ago for the first time and loved it! The other issue about the scholars program that my D got into is that it is housed in an old dorm- Baker East. No AC & old. I do like the fact that it is on the south side of campus at least.

@lovethearts1 I am hoping for the same. I did email one of the leaders of the business learning community to try to get some guidance. The PSL Scholar program is in Smith-Steeb. He was hoping to be on the south end of campus, which is where the business learning community is. So we will see!!

@lovethearts1 - check out the Ohio State Parents on Facebook - there are several parents in there with kids in Scholars groups, and most children of these parents live on campus. You may get more insight there, especially as this is a thread for admitted students. You might get more info posting outside of this post as well.

FYI - Baker is old with no AC, but it’s in a good location (south campus, near the Union), and it doesn’t stay hot for too long after they move in (and doesn’t really get hot before they move out for the year). HTH

If they release decisions today what time do they usually release them?

I just called the lady said that they release them all throughout the night. When I found out in December it was about 6:30 EST

@hannah2799 did they say if they are releasing decisions today?

she said she didnt know for sure but most likely. I know from calling back when I was waiting on my decision that they release them friday, once a month, in the middle of the month. So that is about today. Good luck!!

@hannah2799 Thanks!!
Will be needing the luck just for them to release decisions and obviously to get in!

Anything?

My admission decision just went up ! Accepted

who else has heard back? i thought they were sending out letters and not telling us online?

Still deferred no news here
