Okay, so I know that on March 17th we can check online to see if we've been admitted, but where do we check?? I can't find it in anything I've received from UCSB, and I can't find it on the UCSB website, either. Anyone know?

Also, I applied to CCS (College of Creative Studies). I understand I'll hear from CCS after hearing from UCSB, but anyone know when? And how (by phone, online, by mail...)?

i'll see if my college counselor knows (the college counselors are IMPOSSIBLE to contact at my school, but i think ill have to hunt her down...).

Regarding CCS make sure your high school transcripts get to them as their admissions is different than UCSB. Back in '06 my son applied to UCSB as a Mech. Eng. second choice and to CCS in Physics as his first choice. When he got his admission to UCSB the letter said his first choice was denied but he got in for Eng. He called the CCS department on a whim and it turned out they didn't get his transcripts. They were in the UCSB admissions office. He sent the transcripts the next day and got a call that night from the head of the Physics dept. After about a half hour interview he recommended him for CCS. Got a call the next day from admissions telling him he was in. Ended up going to UCLA after all but at least he got into CCS. Sounds like a great program if you are certain about your major.
Good luck!

apparently (according to my college counselor) we find out about admissions decisions on each UC school's specific website-- so for UCSB, don't go to the UC system website, but instead to the UCSB website. they weren't able to tell me what to do at all, they just said that the website would direct us.
sorry guys, looked like that plan didn't quite work out. but i'm sure we'll be able to figure it out on march 17th (right?).

and thanks, slodad, ill be sure to check up with CCS on my app status to make sure it's all there.
