Admissions: Did They Receive the Letters of Rec?

I recently got the "We didn't receive your materials" email from Cornell. Sucks, but I was relieved because now I had an excuse to run to the Registrar and demand a fax of all my transcripts, SSR, etc. However, what I'm worrying over now is, if my school couldn't get the materials needed to Cornell, how do I know whether or not my teacher letters of recommendation are there? The ApplicantID doesn't tell you anything about that (currently have everything checked BUT SAT scores, which is odd but something I'll bother about later). Any other way of confirmation aside from attaching those postcards when you originally send out the letters?

I also called Cornell the other day. The conversation went something like this:
Me: "Alright, thank you. Also, I'm worried that because Cornell did not receive my SSR that my letters of rec also were not received. Is there any way I can check this?"
Representative: "Cornell receives a lot of mail every day. It'll take a while for us to sort through everything."
Me: "Right. But the status of letters of rec aren't posted online, so there's no way for me to know. Should I have my teachers fax?"
Representative: "Sit tight. Call back December 1."
Me: "My email says I have until November 24."
Representative: "Sit tight."

Yikes. I'm so confused! What do I do!

Sit tight.

Sit tight.

Sit tight.

I caaaaaaaaannn'ttttttt.

chill the F-in hell out man. they are going to make sure you have everything in regardless of deadlines. they post deadlines so that people get things mailed ahead of time so they themselves have ample time to sort through it all. when the time comes that they really do not have something that they should have already sorted out and confirmed, they will cooperate with you in every which way to make sure your application is complete.
