@MamaBearz99 The thing that concerns me is that those who are in state have higher ACT accepted than those out of state. I only have a 29 ACT (raised it to a 30 but it had to send after the deadline, so they won’t see it I don’t think) and all of the admitted engineering majors have like 31s-33s.
OSU’s average ACT is a 29, and I am a double minority group in engineering. I hope that it somewhat helps. Either way, I’m concerned.
I still feel terribly bad for my sister. She thought she got into main campus. ): She was so excited. UK is awesome in nursing though, but my family won’t be able to afford that because we’re very low income. My sister is probably going to end up at Ohio U. Not her first choice (OSU was.)
It seems like most of the acceptances for this round were OOS, with a good mix (but not a lot) of instate.
I feel like as long as you have other things that make you stand out, you should be fine. I have a 27 which is trash, but I suck at those tests. It doesn’t really mean anything though, I have a 4.0 at Miami University. So to me scores don’t say much at all.

For the past two years, there have been 3 EA notification waves - one before thanksgiving, one mid-December, and a final one mid-January. So we will probably wait another month.
This makes me wonder if he should apply to some other schools in the meantime.

Lots of extra curriculars and AP classes. Soooo relieved. Good luck to everyone waiting. Go bucks!
I’m enrolled in dual enrollment. So I go to Miami full time and high school. I have 48 Credit hours after this semester. I imagine I’ll be a sophomore if I do get accepted, but I applied as a freshman.
@Ilikewilco While you may have considered that, my sister and I would not.
I don’t really want to miss out on two years of the college experience. I can’t drive because of medical issues, so for me being apart of an actual campus (rather than CC or a brach campus) is important not only for convince, but for my social growth. I can’t hop in a car to go visit friends like most people can. OSU Marion is the only branch campus that has Engineering, and Marion isn’t the best of towns (safety wise, although OSUM is on the better side.)
I have done work with OSU engineering professors (teaching) and will do a mentorship at OSU next semester. It is basically my pre-professional home. I know professors there I have reached out to. It would suck getting rejected.
As for my sister, she wants the huge University, sports oriented school, School spirit, ECT that Kentucky and OSU have. Since she doesn’t want a branch campus, she will likely be pulling for Kentucky.
I have a feeling I’m going to get rejected for my interests. ALL of the CS majors on here have like… 33-35 ACTs and I’m here with a 29 (actual 30, but I didn’t get that score in time.)
Does anyone know when decisions will stop rolling in for today? I applied on 10/8 and am just a little disappointed and nervous that I have yet to hear back. Hoping good things come to those who wait lol!!
