Does anyone know when acceptance emails/packets are sent out?

Was really hoping to wake up and see my decision on portal…still “evaluation”. I’m fine with transferring to main campus from a branch in the case I get denied. I just want an answer so that I can plan for the future :’(

Son admitted last night. OOS (Florida) for business (Fisher).

@whs2016 does it say Fisher or BSBA? I’m assuming only Fisher gives BSBA?

I find it odd how 96% of OSU’s students would’ve been in the top 25% of their class. Is this statistic for those who submit their rank or is it an estimate??? I know plenty of people who attend OSU that definitely did not fall into the 25% range of their class…

@oj2018 Only 48% of students submit their class rank.

How do you see if you’re admitted, deferred, or rejected?

My daughter’s application status still reads “evaluating.” Talk about random as far as who gets notified earlier :frowning: My daughter was so crushed knowing two batches of decisions have now been released and hers wasn’t in either of them. You’d think this was an Ivy League school. What’s the point in applying EA if it takes some people 2 months until they hear a decision? Just frustrated and blowing off steam… Congrats to all who found out yesterday that they were admitted!

I feel exactly the same way you do. My daughter’s application was completed on 10/11, all of her stats are well above the “average,” and she also has to wait until January now. It’s RIDICULOUS. My husband and I are both alum and the elitism OSU asserts is so foreign to us. I am relieved for eveyone now out of OSU application purgatory, but so annoyed for those of us still stuck here. Oy!

Does anybody know if there’s a possibility if it still says “evaluation” if maybe it’s still in this recent wave of admissions it might just not appear until later today or tomorrow? Or if it still says that does that definitely mean my admission is being put off for another wave?

My daughter completed her application in AUGUST and she is still under evaluation. It is so frustrating.

I am VERY frustrated that I did not get a decision. OSU is my top choice (that’s acutally realistic for me). And it’s weird, but literally everyone accepted have like top stats. How is the average ACT at OSU a 29??? Is this just CC elitism???

I have a huge fear that I’m going to get denied. So many people have been accepted into my major who have top stats (ie. higher than that 29 average ACT.) I’m screwed it seems.

Also, I feel like I’m screwed over for MS. I know that MS is on rolling decisions, so the longer my app is still in decision mode, the longer I won’t hear a decision and the less spots there are for BOTH admission and the MS program.

Just curious if there is a way to tell from the portal if I was directly admitted into Fisher. I assume I am since it lists program “business” and major “finance”. Anyone know for certain?

@mayflower2001 How was she able to submit her application before the window opened in October? That really stinks for her that she had that level of priority and still has to wait until January. ?

I shouldn’t have got accepted. Trash test score and I applied last minute. I have no clue how they do things there… but it’s weird to say the least.

You know you’re in Fisher if you’re a direct admit (requirements on website). You’ll get an official letter in about a week or 2 with the official acceptance.
