Admissions Document Tracking site at the University of Maryland

Drillkid- As of today, your recommendation was sent 4 weeks ago. If I were you, I would wait until Wednesday (because of the days off this week), and then call admissions. If they say it’s been long enough that your recommendation must have gotten lost, then you need to ask them what to do in order to re-send and get “credit” for it having been sent on time. You will probably need your teacher or guidance counselor to either call or write a letter to attest that it was originally mailed before Nov 1. But ask Admissions how they would like you to handle it.

Did anyone’s counselors/teachers have problems with the online system? Both my teacher and my counselor mentioned that the system had glitches in it and that they had trouble submitting their letters. Their letters eventually showed up in the online system, but it took a while.

HoComom, thank you. I will do that, although I may not wait as long as Wednesday. I might call some time shortly before the office closes on Tuesday.

Bandgeek, sorry I did not use the online system. I printed out the sheets and gave them to my teacher/counselor.
