Admissions E-Mail Address?

It's been more than two months since I sent in part I, and I haven't gotten any notification that they have received my application. I want to e-mail them and make sure that it wasn't lost, but where do I sent the e-mail? I can't find the address anywhere. It could probably just be a general e-mail address, not jessica marricciano's or anything since it's a rather technical question.

ugrad-ask@columbia.edu

I'm in the same boat. Did you send yours in by mail?

He must have sent it by mail, because online apps don't get lost and online apps display on the screen, in the form of little blue boxes, whether or not your app parts are in.

Yeah, I did send it by mail. I'm a girl by the way. It's really strange; I keep assuming most of you are guys just by the name. I think a lot of other people do that, too.

You can also call or email the admissions officer who deals with students from your area, which is something I did quite frequently, if you have specific questions regarding your application or anything that would be better off taken up with them than the general admissions office. I still vaguely remember mine's name after a year of no contact with him (of course, as I was rejected and all and therefore don't really have much to do with Columbia nowadays besides trying to transfer). Anyway, the website has the admissions officers for different areas' contact info on there somewhere; I'm sure a quick search would bring it up.

Oh sorry. I'll try to remember that. I think about half are girls and half are boys by my guesses, but sometimes I guess wrong, like with synthetic and with you. . . oh well. Like that person elodie who posted that message about "collage" a while back. . . I definitely thought he was a girl the whole time and everybody else definitely thought he was a boy the whole time. I thought he was a girl named melodie and he mistyped his screenname.

Ah, college. The word that is always misspelled how it doesn't even sound . . . Why don't I ever see "collige" or even "colluge"? But "collage"? Come on, people.

Is sthe regional reps name on the website anywhere...i'm going to ask him/her about my interview

I've looked and haven't been able to find them, thethoughtprocess.

I could not find the regional email addresses, but it might be worth a shot to just email Jessica Marinaccio, since she is the now the director of admissions there, and maybe she can help you out and perhaps even hook you up with the email address for the adcom who is handling you. I'm pretty sure that there ARE regional reps at Columbia; I'm just not sure as to what depths they go.

I sent an email to the address above and received a response about my application. Just send it to the ugrad-ask@columbia.edu and someone who knows about admissions and your application will email you back.

They told me that my application had been received and gave me my online ID, which they said I should have received in the mail, but didn't. Anyway, it was a relief.
