Just curious, is there any meaning to the following e-mail besides a reminder of when to check decision postings? I don't want to sound stupid, but I wasn't sure if anything should be implied from this. Did most applicants receive one? If so, were they likely candidates? The e-mail reads as follows:

Thank you for applying to the University of Pennsylvania. We will be posting Admissions Decisions online on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 5 p.m. E.D.T.

“u didnt sound to sharp there” Do you really think that everyone who applied to Penn or was admitted “sharp”. Believe me there are complete idiots that go to Ivy leagues. Friend is dumb as a door nail and went to Dartmouth. I still think that the admission officers were high when they reviewed his app.

Haha, I’m concluding that as the time before decisions decreases, the rate of sarcasm and impatience in general increases (through the roof, I might add).

^hahahah definitely. check the ED stress threads. ridiculously funny. they kept me entertained before the actual decisions came out. Hopefully everyone comes out Pen15’s!

I never got that from Penn, but I did get it from Cornell and Dartmouth. Doesn’t seem like a good sign, although I wasn’t expecting to get into Wharton at all.

I got that email too. I didn’t read much into it. I just assumed it meant what it said. I have heard of schools sending out likely letters before the admissions decision date but idk if that’s true.

Tomorrow is going to be a very stressful day. I find out about upenn, harvard and Yale tomorrow!!! And Emory Friday. This is not a relaxing spring break.
